Who are you?
My name is Laurence, but I go by Lo and I am a professional golfer from Belgium. I moved to London almost two years ago now with my husband and two boys.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Aristotle
How did you first get into golf?
Someone gave me some plastic clubs when I was very young…we still don’t know who…and apparently I used to swing them all around the garden. When I was eight years old my parents started playing golf and introduced me to the wonderful game.
Where is your favourite course you've ever played?
My favourite course is Turnberry in Scotland. I loved the amazing views and high quality of the golf course.
What are you enjoying most about CGC?
The best technology in the world at our disposal as coaches, and a lot of natural light coming into an indoor studio. I was sold the moment I walked in through the door :)
What did you do before CGC?
I studied in the US while on a golf scholarship, then played on the Ladies European & Access Tour for seven years, after which I started teaching in Belgium. I became the National Girls' and Women’s Coach after a couple of years, before moving here. Now I teach at Hampton Court Palace GC and CGC.
