Golf entered Zane's life at age 11 when he caddied for his father. By the age of 15 Zane played off scratch and played for both the Men’s County team and the England Boys Team. In 1999 he qualified for the Open at Carnoustie at the young age of 16.

Fast forward to the latter stages of his amateur career, Zane won prestigious trophies and national titles, along with the Spanish Amateur and Portuguese Amateur 'back to back,' and represented England and GB&I at both boys and men's levels.

Following his decision to turn professional, Zane had a devastating car crash that damaged vertebrae in his neck and spine.

After his recovery, Zane prequalified for the French Open and got into contention. Each week he received invites and on his 6th start on the European Tour that year Zane finished T4th at the British Masters. In those six starts he earned enough points to get a Tour card for the following season.

Another injury setback in 2008 forced him to have a year off. However, in 2010 he qualified for the Open Championship at St Andrews, followed quite closely by his first professional win on the Euro Pro Tour. 2011 saw the start of the MENA Golf tour by GOLF IN DUBAi and Zane's second win as a professional. Over the last five years, he has had much success on the MENA Golf Tour, and has now won 11 times on this tour alone, earning exemptions into a fair few European Tour events and onto the Sunshine Tour.

Zane's passion for the game led him to create an academy while playing. His goal is to share his experience and help fellow golfers overcome obstacles, accelerating their journey to top-tier performance.
