Staff - Lo.jpg

Laurence, "Lo", (Herman) Blease was born and raised in Belgium, and her passion for golf began when she was just 8 years old. She quickly became skilled in the sport and was proud to be a member of the Belgian team by the age of 13. During her time at the National Golf School in Belgium, Lo was fortunate enough to be coached by renowned names in the industry, including Pete Cowen (coach to Matt Fitzpatrick, Rory McIlroy, Danny Willett, etc.), Ryan Lumdsen (coach to Lydia Ko), and the late Ramsay McMaster. As an amateur, Lo had a successful run, winning the Belgian National Championship three times and competing in the European Championships from 2004–2011.

Upon graduating from high school, Lo moved to the US and attended Iowa State University on a full scholarship. There, she played golf as a ‘Cyclone’ for four years while studying Business Management and Finance. Their team consistently ranked in the top 10 D1 teams, and she graduated with honours.

Following her graduation in 2011, Lo turned professional and earned her card immediately after entering the Ladies European Tour Q School. For the next seven years, she played on the LET and LET Access Tour while simultaneously coaching juniors and working for Golf Vlaanderen. Her time on tour also gave her the opportunity to study sports management and complete my PGA Coaching degree.

After retiring from professional golf, Lo became the Head Pro at a club in Ieper, close to her hometown of Kortrijk. There, she taught a range of golfers, including beginners, amateurs, juniors, and high-level players, and also engaged in club fitting, sales, and repair. Lo organised clinics, initiations, and golf camps and built one of the leading junior programs in Belgium. She decreased the drop-out rate of beginners at the club from 50% to 5%.

Lo's coaching success led to her appointment as the Belgian Girls and Women’s Coach, where she coached the top amateur girls and ladies in Belgium and accompanied them to international tournaments, European and World Championships.

In 2020, she moved to London with her husband and began coaching at Hampton Court Palace GC and worked towards building a strong women’s section and hosting events. In July 2022, Lo joined the Caddi Club team as a coach and fell in love with the atmosphere and future plans. She progressed to General Manager of the Club quickly, and as of December 2023 is Director of Golf and Events, while still offering coaching sessions.
